Zion Suzuki, born in 2002 in Little Rock, Arkansas, USA, to a Ghanaian American father and Japanese mother, relocated to Urawa, Japan, where he grew up.

He joined Urawa Red Diamonds at 16 years old, becoming their youngest-ever professional player. Suzuki made his J1 League debut in May 2021. In August 2023, he moved on loan to Sint-Truiden in Belgium, eventually securing a permanent transfer. Suzuki's standout performances attracted global attention, including interest from Manchester United.
