Initially situated near the shore in Osu-Anohor with a modest enrollment of fifty students, Saint Thomas Aquinas Secondary School began its journey. The tireless efforts of its dedicated staff, including Reverend Fathers and educators, laid the foundation for its growth and success.

Under the leadership of individuals like Father Alphonse Elsbernd and Father Clement Hotze, the school pursued government support and accreditation from the West African Examinations Council (WAEC), crucial milestones in its development.

In 1963, the school made a significant move to its current location on Cantonment Street in Osu. Positioned amidst notable landmarks such as the European Union office and the Civil Service Training School, the school enjoys a strategic location within the bustling heart of Accra.
