Irene Naa Torshie Addo, born on 30 September 1970 in Osu, Accra, is a prominent Ghanaian politician and lawyer.
She served as the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and represented the Tema West Constituency as a Member of Parliament. Educated at the University of Ghana and the University of Warwick, she holds a law degree and an LLM in Gender and Development Studies.
As a member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), she was an MP from 2009 to 2017. Irene also served as the Deputy Ambassador to the Ghanaian Embassy in Washington DC and later as the Administrator of the District Assemblies Common Fund.
A devoted Baptist, she is married and has three children. Her contributions to Ghanaian politics and diplomacy reflect her dedication to national development and advocacy for her constituents' rights and welfare.
