On December 24, 2012, Ghanaian rap superstar Sarkodie brought fans together for the very first Rapperholic concert, and what started as a one-night event has since grown into one of the country’s most beloved music experiences.
Inspired by his 2012 album Rapperholic, the concert was a chance for Sarkodie to share his music, connect with his fans, and celebrate the vibrant energy of Ghanaian hip-hop.
Over the years, Rapperholic has seen its share of highs and memorable moments.
In 2013, the concert faced a small hiccup when a scheduled show in Koforidua was canceled and rescheduled, but that did not stop the excitement.
By 2017, the event had become a full-blown spectacle, launching at the Multichoice Head Office in Accra and held at the Accra International Conference Centre.
Fans got to see an incredible lineup of artists including Becca, Freda Rhymes, Kidi, Adina, Kwesi Arthur, Obrafuor, and many more, all coming together to make the night unforgettable.
The following editions continued to grow in scale and energy. By 2019, the seventh edition, ‘Rapperholic Unstoppable 19,’ packed the Grand Arena at the Accra International Conference Centre, featuring performers like Edem, Tulenkey, Amerado, Medikal, and Coded of 4×4.
It was also a touching night for Sarkodie, as he paid tribute to his late lawyer and confidante, Cynthia Quarcoo, acknowledging her role in his journey.
In 2025, the concert returned with a bang at Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi, where Sarkodie even paid a courtesy call to the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, and organized a health walk for fans and the community.
