Stories and facts

Remembers Group has organised its first Ghana Design Mixer, drawing dozens of graphic designers and visual creators to discuss the future of the industry and explore the products developed by the company.

Held in Accra on March 28, 2025, the event was graced by speakers including Elorm Lucky Agbanu, Ismail Akwei, and Victor Welrich, alongside a panel of industry experts such as Seraphina Arku, Perk Pomoyie, Kweku Blankson, and Ibrahim Nayabo.

They spoke on various themes, including the future of design in a digital world, the role of artificial intelligence (AI) in the creative industry, pricing strategies for designers, and career development in freelance and corporate settings.

The key note speaker, Elorm Lucky Agbanu, said artificial intelligence should be seen as a tool to enhance productivity rather than a replacement for human creativity. He emphasized that designers who embrace AI can improve efficiency while preserving originality.

A panel discussion moderated by Nathaniel Owulaku Tetteh explored AI’s effect on originality and pricing, strategies for balancing creativity with client demands, and the importance of developing sales skills and emotional intelligence in design practice.

The event delivered key takeaways and networking opportunities, offering participants practical strategies for navigating the fast-changing design industry.

Attendees engaged in thought-provoking discussions on the role of AI, pricing challenges, and career advancement, while also building professional connections that could lead to future collaborations.

The mixer created a platform where experienced industry leaders and emerging designers exchanged ideas, promoting both knowledge-sharing and community growth.

Closing the event, Ismail Akwei reaffirmed the Remembers Group’s mission to support Ghana’s creative community and urged participants to engage with its platforms, namely Ghana Memorial Products, Ghana Funeral Services, and Ghana Remembers.

Organizers described the mixer as a success, noting that the discussions will help shape the future of design in Ghana.
