Benjamin Asare’s rise in Ghanaian football has been a steady journey of dedication, consistency, and quiet excellence.
His professional path began with Sporting Mirren FC, now Accra City Stars FC, where he quickly showed promise as a goalkeeper.
In 2020, he took a major step by joining Accra Great Olympics. His debut that November set the stage for an impressive run, amassing 73 appearances over four seasons.
The 2023/24 season stood out, with Asare playing 34 matches and becoming the backbone of the team’s defense through commanding saves and strong leadership.
In July 2024, he joined Accra Hearts of Oak, marking a significant move to one of Ghana’s most prestigious clubs. He made an immediate impact, appearing in seven league matches and continuing to build on his reputation.
That same year, his performances earned him a call-up to represent Ghana at the African Nations Championship (CHAN), where he kept a clean sheet in a goalless draw against Nigeria at the Accra Sports Stadium.
