Kevin Okyere is a Ghanaian entrepreneur and the Founder and CEO of Springfield Energy, a billion-dollar oil company he established in 2008.

Born in 1980 into a well-known Ashanti family, Okyere showed an early passion for business and excellence.

After completing high school in Ghana, he moved to the United States to study Accounting at George Mason University in Virginia, where his dream of building a global company began to take shape.

In 2016, his company Springfield Energy made headlines when it was awarded Ghana’s West Cape Three Points Block 2, a field previously managed by Kosmos Energy.

Three years later, Springfield became the first Ghanaian company to drill in deep water, marking a historic milestone for the nation’s oil industry.

Working with Stena Unicon Offshore Services, Okyere’s team discovered about 1.5 billion barrels of oil, a find that was seen as a breakthrough for Ghana’s energy future.

Beyond business, Okyere is passionate about giving back. Through the Kevin Okyere Foundation, he supports education and healthcare across Ghana by covering medical bills for patients in need, paying school fees for children, and offering scholarships for students to study abroad.

Kevin Okyere’s hard work and vision have not gone unnoticed. He has been honored with several awards, including the Entrepreneurship Award from Face2Face Africa in the U.S. and the Man of the Year in Oil and Gas at the 2019 EMY Africa Awards.
