Justice Daniel Francis Annan was a prominent Ghanaian jurist, politician, and statesman who played a crucial role in shaping the country's democratic and legal systems.

Serving as Speaker of the First and Second Parliaments of the Fourth Republic from 1993 to 2001, he was instrumental in strengthening parliamentary democracy.

Before his political career, he excelled as a Supreme Court Judge, earning respect for his integrity and legal acumen.

As a member of the Provisional National Defence Council (PNDC), he contributed significantly to the development of the 1992 Constitution, which laid the foundation for Ghana's Fourth Republic.

Justice Annan passed away on July 16, 2006, leaving behind a lasting legacy of public service and commitment to Ghana's progress.
