The GHALCA President's Cup, an esteemed annual football match, brings together two selected clubs at the end of each season in Ghana. Organized by the Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA), this cup holds special significance as it honors the sitting President of Ghana.

Formerly known as the Republic Day Celebrations Cup, this event traditionally takes place in July to coincide with Ghana's Republic Day on July 1st. The cup was rebranded as the GHALCA President's Cup in 2003, marking its revival after a hiatus from 1985 to 2002. It serves as a platform not only for showcasing football talent but also for paying tribute to the nation's leadership during Republic Day celebrations.

The most recent champions of the GHALCA President's Cup are Accra Hearts of Oak, who clinched victory in the 2023 match with a narrow 1-0 win over arch-rivals Asante Kotoko. Asante Kotoko holds the record for the most titles, boasting an impressive eight wins in the cup's history.

Reflecting on the cup's history, between 1969 and 1984, it was held annually in honor of the sitting president and was named accordingly. For instance, the 1969 edition was named the Busia Cup, paying tribute to then Prime Minister Abrefa Busia, while the 1973 edition was known as the Acheampong Cup, honoring head of state Ignatius Kutu Acheampong.

Since its reintroduction in 2003, the GHALCA President's Cup has become a highly anticipated event in the Ghanaian football calendar. The inaugural rebranded match in 2003 saw Hearts of Oak triumph over rivals Great Olympics with a decisive 2-0 victory.
