Amerado Burner, born Derrick Sarfo Kantanka on February 14, 1995, in Kumasi, Ghana, is a well-known Ghanaian rapper celebrated for his impactful lyrics and distinct storytelling style.
His career began to take shape in 2015 when he placed third in a freestyle competition and subsequently joined the record label MicBurnerz Music. Amerado gained nationwide attention with his single "I Am" in 2017, which was featured in Pulse Ghana's top songs that year. In 2018, he collaborated on "Biibi Ba" with Sarkodie, a song that garnered critical acclaim and nominations at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.
One of Amerado’s most notable achievements is his "Yeete Nsem" series, launched in 2020, where he fused news with rap, a format that quickly resonated with fans and made him a household name.
He has also expanded his influence by serving as an ambassador for the Ghana Cocoa Board's chocolate brand. In addition to rap, Amerado’s work includes his EP Rapmare and collaborations with artists like Fameye and Shatta Wale, showcasing his versatility across hip-hop, hiplife, and Afrobeat genres.
