Bryan Acheampong is a prominent politician and a Member of Parliament representing the Abetifi constituency in the Eastern Region. As a member of the New Patriotic Party, Bryan has made significant contributions to both politics and society.
Born on November 27, 1972, in Suhum, a town located in the Eastern region of Ghana, Bryan hails from Nkwatia in the Kwahu East District. His educational journey began at Achimota Primary School and continued at the prestigious Presbyterian Boys Secondary School in Legon.
His quest for knowledge led him to the United States, where he graduated from Johnson & Wales University with a bachelor's degree and an MBA in Business Administration. His academic pursuits also include a current candidacy for a Ph.D. in Information Systems at the University of Ghana and a certificate from the renowned Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Additionally, Bryan holds an HP Accredited Sales Professional certification from HP University.
Bryan Acheampong's career is marked by diversity and success. He served in the US Air Force between 2004 and 2006 and later assumed the role of Minister of State in charge of National Security. As a seasoned consultant, he also served as the CEO of INTU-Group in Accra. His political journey includes positions such as Deputy Minister of State in charge of Interior and, most recently, Minister of Agriculture, a role he assumed in 2023.
A loyal member of the New Patriotic Party, Bryan Acheampong represents the Abetifi Constituency. He has consistently shown his dedication to public service and has been elected by his constituents multiple times. In the 2016 and 2020 Ghanaian general elections, he secured victory in the Abetifi Constituency parliamentary seat with strong voter support, demonstrating his connection with the people.

He currently serves as the Chairperson of the Foreign Affairs Committee and is a member of the Defense and Interior Committee, the Appointments Committee, and the Committee of Selection. In February 2023, Bryan Acheampong was affirmed by Parliament as the Minister of Agriculture, taking over from Dr. Owusu Afriyie Akoto. His appointment reflects his continuous dedication to government service and commitment to the agricultural sector.
