Iddrisu Baba Mohammed, born on January 22, 1996, in Accra, Ghana, is a professional footballer who plays as a defensive midfielder for UD Almería in Spain's Segunda División and the Ghana national team.
He moved to Spain at a young age and joined RCD Mallorca’s youth setup in 2014 from CD Leganés. He made his senior debut for Mallorca B in 2015 and scored his first goal in 2016.
After a loan spell at Barakaldo CF in 2017, he returned to Mallorca and was promoted to the first team, making his professional debut in 2018. Baba played a key role in Mallorca’s promotion to La Liga and extended his contract in 2019.
He made his top-flight debut against SD Eibar and scored his first professional goal in 2021 against Cádiz CF.
In August 2023, he joined UD Almería on loan, and the move was made permanent in July 2024 after the club’s relegation.
Internationally, Baba debuted for Ghana in November 2019 during the AFCON qualifiers and was part of the 2021 AFCON squad, where he suffered an injury against Gabon.
Iddrisu Baba continues to be a vital presence for both club and country, known for his tactical discipline, strong tackling, and consistency in midfield.
