Gizella Akushika Tetteh-Agbotui is a Member of Parliament for the Awutu Senya West Constituency under the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and an architect by profession.

She was born on November 30, 1970, in Awutu Obrachire, in the Central Region and has achieved a multitude of feats that have left an indelible mark on her community and the nation as a whole.

In 1997, she earned her bachelor's degree in Design in Architecture, which laid the foundation for her career in the construction and architecture industry. Her quest for knowledge didn't end there; she pursued a master's degree in Business Administration with a focus on Marketing in 2007. In 2008, she achieved the esteemed Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, further cementing her expertise in the field. In 2017, she added another feather to her cap by obtaining the International Airport Professional (IAP) accreditation in Airport Management.

Tetteh-Agbotui's education has paved the way for her to become an experienced and assertive project leader and CEO. With over 21 years of experience in the construction sector, her credentials are indeed remarkable. Her skills encompass infrastructure policy formulation, corporate governance, entrepreneurship, marketing, civil airport infrastructure development, public-private partnerships, real estate development, project management, third-party project monitoring, and environmental management.

As an associate member of the Ghana Institute of Architects and Architects Registration Council in Ghana, she stands as a testament to the heights one can achieve through dedication and hard work.

In addition to her impressive career in architecture, Gizella Tetteh-Agbotui ventured into politics as a member of the National Democratic Congress. Her political journey reached a significant milestone in December 2020 when she was elected as a Member of Parliament for the Awutu Senya West Constituency after a spirited campaign in the 2020 Ghanaian General Election.

Representing the National Democratic Congress, she secured a notable victory, garnering 32,708 votes, which represented 51.58% of the total votes cast. This triumphant win saw her surpass her competitors, including George Andah of the New Patriotic Party, Edith Mansah Dzonyrah of the Ghana Union Movement, and Samuel Yawson of the Conventions People's Party. Their votes amounted to 29,832, 678, and 193, respectively, in comparison to Tetteh-Agbotui's substantial lead.

As the CEO and Principal Consultant of Zella Architects, a prominent architectural firm in Ghana, Tetteh-Agbotui has become a prominent figure in the construction industry. Zella Architects boasts a diverse portfolio of projects, including affordable housing, civic and educational facilities, and a unique focus on airports and tourism-related structures. Her role as an International Airport Professional (IAP) and a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) has undoubtedly contributed to her expertise in this sector.

Gizella Tetteh-Agbotui is the sister of Hannah Tetteh, who served as a Member of Parliament for the Awutu Senya West Constituency and Minister for Foreign Affairs. She is also a devout Christian, practising her faith as a Methodist.

Beyond her professional and political endeavours, Tetteh-Agbotui has demonstrated a strong commitment to philanthropy. In 2021, she sponsored a three-day program aimed at training and regularizing over 200 unlicensed drivers and motorists. Her initiative, known as the GTA Licensing Project, addressed a significant issue in Ghana, contributing to road safety and compliance with traffic regulations.

In recognition of her outstanding contributions to women empowerment in Ghana, Gizella Tetteh-Agbotui received a well-deserved citation during the Under 30 Women Awards in 2021. This honour underscores her commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of women in her community and beyond.
