He holds degrees in law and international relations from the University of Ghana and the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London. His career includes extensive experience in legal practice, public service as a Special Assistant to the Minister of Trade and Industry, and consultancy in the private sector.

Known for his work in developing trade policies and industrial strategies, Herbert Krapa continues to advocate for economic growth and development in Ghana. Recently, President Akufo-Addo nominated him as Minister of State at the Energy Ministry, following Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s selection of Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh as his running mate for the 2024 elections.
