As a regular Business News Analyst for the BBC World Service and a CNN Stringer, Israel's expertise is recognized internationally.

He made history in 2008 as the youngest moderator of the Ghanaian presidential election debates and was named Best African Radio Journalist at the CNN/Multichoice African Journalist Awards.

Known affectionately as "Izzy," he was honored as one of Africa’s top 40-under-40 achievers by The Network Journal in 2010.
