Stories and facts

King Paluta, born Thomas Adjei Wireko in Atonsu Bokuro, Kumasi, was raised by his single mother, whose belief in his potential nurtured his dream of becoming a rap king.

Despite numerous challenges, including financial constraints that delayed his recording efforts from 2004 to 2008, he persisted. Meeting Abismall and Owuraku (Phills Bright) provided him with studio exposure and collaboration opportunities. From 2007 to 2011, he gained publicity and respect through street rap battles. In 2012, he signed with a label that failed to deliver on its promises, teaching him valuable industry lessons.

A turning point came during a visit to Solid FM's Freestyle Saturday, where Kwame Poku "Scientific" inspired him to persist, with DJ Slim's support boosting his radio airplay and fame. In 2016, collaboration with Scratch and signing with NKZ Music's Nana Yaw Maradona (Guru) led to the release of his debut track under the label.
