Appiah Dankwah, known by his stage name Appietus, is a versatile artist originating from Accra, Ghana. Born on March 12, 1977, Appietus has made substantial impacts on Ghana's music scene as an actor, musician, music producer, and sound engineer.

The moniker "Appietus" rose to prominence due to his distinctive tagline "Appietus in the mix," derived creatively from "Appiahs' Tools." His journey in music has been illustrious, marked by an impressive array of accolades. Over a decade, starting from the inception of his career, he secured six prestigious music industry awards.

Among his notable achievements are the Ghana Music Honours 2015 for Best Music Producer and Sound Engineer, the Sun Shine Music Awards 2010 for Best Sound Engineer, and the UK Ghana Music Awards 2008 for Best Sound Engineer. Appietus's global impact extends beyond Ghana, representing his nation at esteemed international events like WOMEX 2013 in Wales, UK, and Worldtronics in Berlin, Germany, in 2012.

Appietus, born Appiah Dankwah to Osei Poku and Susana Appiah in Accra, originates from Aduman in the Ashanti Region. He received his education at Ebenezer Secondary School in Dansoman, graduating in 1993. His passion for music and sound engineering manifested early, encouraged by his father who bought him his first toy piano to nurture his talent.

Appietus honed his skills at notable institutions such as Fredima Studios in Adabraka, Accra, and later at Kay's Frequency in Asylum Down. After graduating from these establishments, he ventured further, joining Kampsite Studios at Dansoman SSNIT flats in 2003. Finally, in 2006, he established his studio, Creative Studioz, in Dansoman Sahara.

He has not only excelled as a producer but also actively participated in music competitions and mentoring programs. Notably, he served on the panel for Vodafone Icons in 2012 and 2013, mentoring the winning group of 2012, which spawned the emergence of the talented artist Wiyaala.

In 2014, Appietus collaborated with COPILOT Music and Sound on a rendition of Carlinhos Brown's "Maria Caipirnha (Samba da Bahia)" for Visa's "Samba of the World," a digital campaign during the 2014 FIFA World Cup, showcasing Ghanaian musical styles.

Appietus is renowned for his versatility, a quality reflected in his diverse productions spanning genres like Afro-Pop, Hi-Life, Reggae, Gospel, Dance Hall, African Traditional, Hiplife, and Azonto. He seamlessly adapts to evolving music trends, not only as a sound engineer but also as a singer and actor.

Recently, Appietus released his debut single titled "Kuntunimu," featuring Castro, demonstrating his continued creativity and relevance in the industry. Additionally, he introduced the reality show "Appietus Idolz," a platform dedicated to discovering and nurturing musical talents.
