Kwabena Okyere Darko-Mensah, born on June 18, 1974, in Takoradi, Ghana, is a Ghanaian politician and the current Member of Parliament for the Takoradi constituency in the Western Region.

A New Patriotic Party (NPP) member, he has significantly impacted Ghana's political landscape. In Anwhiankwanta, Darko-Mensah attended Mfantsipim School and later earned a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in 2000.

He also holds a postgraduate degree in Democracy, Governance, Law, and Development from the University of Cape Coast and certificates from Sangonet in South Africa and EMPRETEC in Ghana. Before politics, Darko-Mensah had a successful career in biochemistry and hospitality, managing operations at Ahenfie Hotel, serving as Managing Director at e-Base Africa Ltd, and as Director of Operations at Guest House Maggi.

He also contributed to the public sector as the finance committee chairman of the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolitan Assembly. Elected as MP for Takoradi on January 7, 2009, Darko-Mensah has since retained his seat in subsequent elections. He served as Deputy Minister for Aviation in 2017 and was later appointed Regional Minister for the Western Region in 2019.

In Parliament, he has been active on several committees, including Subsidiary Legislation, Education, Business, and Roads and Transport. Darko-Mensah is married with three children and is a committed Christian, reflecting his dedication to faith, family, and public service.
