Adonten Senior High School, situated south of Aburi in Ghana's Eastern Region, is a prominent coeducational first-cycle institution offering a diverse range of academic programs.

The school provides courses in Business, Science, General Arts, General Agriculture, Home Economics, and Visual Arts, culminating in the award of the West African Senior School Certificate (WASSCE).

Established in 1957 by Moses Agyare Kwabi and Djan Opare-Addo, both retired Circuit Court Judges, Adonten began as a private school. In 1963, it transitioned into the public education system under the Ministry of Education, evolving into a day secondary school with an attached hostel.

By the 1972–73 academic year, the Government of Ghana assumed full responsibility for the institution, aiming to foster self-discipline and moral integrity among students and to offer comprehensive secondary education to the expanding youth population in the Akuapem North and South communities.

The school operates a combination of day, boarding, and hostel systems, with the majority of students residing in the boarding house. Currently, approximately 2,500 students are enrolled in its various programs.

Adonten Senior High School boasts a range of facilities to support its educational mission, including three science laboratories (for Physics, Biology, and Chemistry), an ICT lab, a library, a Home Economics lab, a Visual Arts Center, and a school farm.

Additionally, the school features sports amenities such as a standard field for soccer and athletics, a basketball court, as well as volleyball and handball courts. Other facilities include a school clinic and a barbering shop.
