The Archbishop Porter Girls' Senior High School (APGSHS) is a renowned Catholic secondary school for girls situated in Takoradi, in the Western Region of Ghana.

Operating within the Ghana Public Education System, APGSHS was founded in 1965 by Rev. Kodjo Amissah under the name St. Louis Secondary School, later renamed to Archbishop Porter Girls. The institution is inclusive, welcoming girls from all religious backgrounds.

Positioned on a hill in Fijai, Takoradi, it is fondly referred to as the "Hill of Tranquility" due to its peaceful and serene academic environment.

The school offers a variety of courses including General Arts, General Science, Home Economics, Business, Visual Arts, and History. The establishment of the school was spearheaded by Archbishop John Kwadjo Amissah, with Marian Andoh-Kesson becoming the first Ghanaian Headmistress.

APGSHS has a track record of notable achievements. In 2007, the school won the Western regional round of the i2CAP-"I Too Can Program" computer programming competition.

In 2011, it was recognized as the best school in the Western region based on the West African Examination Council results.

The school continued to shine in 2013 by winning the 'Project Citizen' showcase in Ghana, a competition that engages high school students in addressing significant national issues.

In 2017, APGSHS represented Ghana in the annual World Robotics competition in the United States. Most recently, in 2021, the school was crowned the National Science and Maths Quiz Western Zonal Champions.

The school has a vibrant alumni network, with old students in the United Kingdom organized under The Archbishop Porter Past Students Association in the UK (APPSA UK). This network fosters a sense of community and ongoing support for the institution's legacy and future endeavors.
