The National Youth Authority (NYA) is a statutory body established by the Government of Ghana in 1974. Its primary purpose is to coordinate and facilitate youth empowerment activities across the country, aiming to support the development of young people in Ghana.

The Authority operates under the mandate to build a dynamic and disciplined youth population with a strong sense of patriotism, civic responsibility, and leadership.
