Methodist University Ghana (MUG) is a private tertiary institution located in Accra, Ghana, established by the Methodist Church Ghana in October 2000.
Initially known as Methodist University College Ghana (MUCG), it received a Presidential Charter in March 2022, becoming an autonomous university. MUG offers a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs across various disciplines.
Undergraduate programs include Accounting, Actuarial Science, Banking and Finance, Basic Education, Communication Studies, Early Childhood, Economics, Economics and Statistics, English Studies, Human Resource Management, Information Technology, Management Studies, Marketing, Mathematics and Statistics, Procurement and Supply Chain Management, Psychology, and Social Work.
The university also offers a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, which explores human behavior and mental processes through courses like "Psychology for Everyday Living," "Biological Basis of Human Behaviour," and "Theories of Psychology".
Postgraduate programs include Master of Business Administration in Accounting and Finance, Master of Education in Education Entrepreneurship and Educational Management and Practice, Master of Arts in Guidance and Counselling, and Master of Philosophy in Guidance and Counselling and Statistics.
MUG operates across several campuses, including Dansoman-Accra, Tema, and Wenchi.
