Daniel-Kofi Kyereh is a Ghanaian professional footballer who plays as a forward for Bundesliga club SC Freiburg and the Ghana national team.
Born in Ghana to a Ghanaian father and German mother, he moved to Germany at the age of one and began his football journey there.
Kyereh started his professional career with TSV Havelse in the Regionalliga Nord, where he scored 16 goals in 61 appearances.
In June 2018, he joined Wehen Wiesbaden in the 3. Liga and helped the club earn promotion to the 2. Bundesliga with a decisive goal in a 3–1 victory over Ingolstadt. After Wehen’s relegation in the 2019–20 season, he left the club in June 2020.
He later signed a three-year deal with FC St. Pauli, where he quickly made an impact by scoring two late goals in his debut match. Over two seasons, Kyereh became one of St. Pauli’s key players, recording 22 goals in 67 appearances.
In June 2022, he joined SC Freiburg, where he scored his first Bundesliga goal against Mainz on October 1, 2022, and his first European goal five days later in a Europa League win over FC Nantes.
Kyereh made his debut for Ghana on September 3, 2021, in a World Cup qualifying win over Ethiopia. He was later named in Ghana’s squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, featuring as a substitute in all three group-stage matches.
Across his career, Kyereh has made close to 200 appearances and scored over 60 goals.
His journey from the lower leagues of German football to the Bundesliga and international stage reflects his hard work, talent, and determination to succeed.
