Ibrahim Mahama is a renowned Ghanaian businessman and the founder of Engineers and Planners, one of West Africa’s leading mining companies.

He also owns Dzata Cement Limited, Ghana’s first wholly indigenous cement manufacturer. Born on January 29, 1971, in Piase, Northern Ghana, Mahama is the younger brother of former John Dramani Mahama.

After studying in the UK and working in property development, he returned to Ghana in 1997 to establish his company, which now employs over 3,000 people. His business interests extend to Asutsuare Poultry Farms, which produces thousands of eggs and broilers daily.

Beyond business, Mahama is widely recognized for his philanthropic efforts, particularly in Northern Ghana. He has funded education, healthcare, and employment initiatives, including constructing a dormitory for Tamale Secondary School.

His Joyce Tamakloe Cancer Foundation, named after his late mother, has provided free mammograms for over 1,000 women and raised funds for cancer treatment. In 2024, he donated $25,000 for a young girl's kidney transplant and later contributed $100,000 towards leukemia treatment for another child.

His contributions to industry and social impact have earned him prestigious honors, including African Industrialist of the Year and the Ultimate Man of the Year award.
