Suhuyini's journey to prominence began with his education. He attended Ghana Secondary School, now known as Ghana Senior High School in Tamale, where he laid the foundation for his academic pursuits.

Subsequently, he earned a Bachelor of Science in Public Administration and a Master of Science in Development Management from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA). This academic background provided him with a strong foundation for the challenges he would later face in both the world of media and politics.

There, he had brief stints with notable media outlets, including Citi FM and Metro TV, before settling with Radio Gold, a prominent station in the country.

At Radio Gold, Suhuyini further solidified his reputation as a skilled broadcaster. He hosted two flagship programs on the station: the "Gold Power Drive," a popular morning show, and the "Alhaji and Alhaji" talk show, which delved into socio-economic and political current affairs. His excellence in radio broadcasting did not go unnoticed, as he received recognition as the Talk Show Host of the Year for three consecutive years, in 2011, 2012, and 2013, at the Ghana Radio and Television Personality Awards.

In addition to his domestic success, Suhuyini's talent transcended borders. In 2013, he was selected and sponsored by the South Korean government as part of its Next Generational Leaders from Africa program, affording him the opportunity to tour South Korea. This international exposure enhanced his perspective and allowed him to glean insights from diverse cultures.

Furthermore, Suhuyini was a delegate at the 2014 International Visitor Leadership Program, an initiative of the United States Department of State. This professional exchange program enabled him to engage with global leaders and gain a deeper understanding of international relations and diplomacy.

In 2013, he was appointed as a board member of the Ghana Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) by President John Dramani Mahama. In addition to his role with the GCAA, Suhuyini served as the Communications Manager for the National Hajj Council of Ghana in 2014. However, the pinnacle of his political journey came in 2016 when he contested and won the Tamale North parliamentary seat as the National Democratic Congress candidate in the General Election.
