Her impressive performance saw her garner a substantial 54,821 votes, which accounted for a remarkable 64.26% of the total votes cast. In contrast, her closest competitors, Ashley Mensah Winifred of the National Democratic Congress and Princess Agyemang Awuku of the Ghana Union Movement obtained 29,772 and 716 votes, representing 34.90% and 0.84% of the total valid votes cast, respectively.

Sheila Bartels comes from a family with a rich political history. Her father, Kwamena Bartels, held the same parliamentary seat for the Ablekuma North constituency from January 1997 to January 2009. This family legacy of public service and political engagement has been a driving force in her journey.

Born on March 9, 1975, Sheila Bartels hails from Gomoa Assin in the Central Region of Ghana. Her upbringing and roots in this community have undoubtedly played a role in shaping her dedication to representing the interests of her constituents.
