Yaw Dabo, known off-screen as Samuel Nana Yaw Dabo is a popular Ghanaian actor and entrepreneur best known for his roles in Kumawood films.

Raised in Koforidua by a single mother after his father abandoned the family, he moved to Kumasi at age fifteen to pursue acting.

Despite challenges related to his small stature, he broke into the industry with help from actor Kwaku Manu and director Jones Agyemang, eventually starring in over 50 films including “Megye Wo Girl” and “Away Bus.”

Beyond acting, Dabo is the founder of the Dabo Soccer Academy in Kumasi, which trains young footballers across various age groups. Once a footballer himself, he shifted focus to entertainment and youth development.

Known for his humor and resilience, Dabo is also admired for overcoming personal struggles, including a difficult relationship with his father.

Today, he shines as a dynamic and inspiring presence in both Ghana’s entertainment and sports worlds, earning admiration for his talent, passion, and drive.
