Born on March 12, 1971, Henry Quartey is a prominent Ghanaian politician and a respected figure in the business world. Currently serving his second term as the Member of Parliament for the Ayawaso Central Constituency in the Greater Accra Region, Quartey is a member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the Minister for the Greater Accra Region.

Henry Quartey was born in Otublohum-Accra and his educational journey started at Hams Secondary School in Dansoman and Zams Secondary/Technical School in Bolgatanga. He furthered his studies at Osu Presbyterian Senior High School, where he obtained his G.C.E. O'level.

Quartey's pursuit of higher education led him to the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration, where he obtained a postgraduate certificate in Public Administration. These formative years laid the foundation for his successful career in politics and business.

In 2012, he embarked on a journey to represent the people of the Ayawaso Central Constituency in the Greater Accra Region in the Seventh Parliament of the Fourth Republic of Ghana. His diverse experiences in the business world culminated in the founding of Ocean Marine Dolphins, a company where he still holds the positions of director and shareholder. He also plays a pivotal role as the Director Shareholder of Krafty Hospitality and Services Limited in both Accra and Kumasi.

Moreover, Henry Quartey has been an active member of the Ghana Real Estate Developers Association (GREDA) since its inception in the mid-1990s.
