Raphael Nii Amaa Ollennu was a Ghanaian jurist, politician, and academic who played a key role in the country's judiciary and governance.
Born in 1906 in Accra, he pursued law in England and became a Justice of the Supreme Court of Ghana in 1962. He was also a legal scholar, publishing works on African land tenure systems and serving as an Honorary Professor of Law at the University of Ghana.
In politics, he was an opposition leader in the early 1950s, later serving as Speaker of Parliament from 1969 to 1972.
In 1970, he briefly acted as Ghana's President before handing over to Edward Akufo-Addo. Ollennu was a respected legal authority and a prominent figure in Ghana’s political and academic circles.
