The renowned Ghanaian footballer, Stephen Appiah, is reportedly in consideration for a crucial role on the Board of Directors for Accra Hearts of Oak. The football club recently announced the dissolution of its existing board on Tuesday, February 27, 2024, which included prominent figures such as Dr Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe, Alhaji Akambi, and Vincent Sowah Odotei as members.

With the disbandment of the old board, the anticipation is high for the formation of a new one during the upcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM) scheduled for March 2024. Stephen Appiah, a former player for Hearts of Oak, is emerging as a strong candidate for a position on the 11-member board, according to multiple reports.

Ex-footballers of the club are reportedly endorsing Stephen Appiah to represent their interests on the board. The proposed board, as per reports, will consist of 11 members, with Togbe Afede designated as the chair and Elvis Herman Hesse representing the supporters. Additionally, there will be a representative from Hearts Ladies.

Further details from the reports indicate that Togbe Afede will appoint two board members, while the remaining members will be elected by the shareholders during the AGM in March 2024.
