Geography and Climate
The Adansi North District enjoys a Semi-Equatorial climate due to its location, making it experience warm temperatures and significant rainfall throughout the year. With its capital located in Fomena, the district is positioned on Longitude 1.50 W and latitude 6.30 N, falling within a typical tropical region of Africa, characterized by high temperatures and abundant rainfall year-round. Established by Legislative Instrument (L.I) 1758, the district covers approximately 1140 sq km, accounting for about 4.7% of the total area of the Ashanti Region.
Boundaries
The Adansi North District shares borders with neighboring districts, enhancing its interconnectedness within the region. To the south-west lies Obuasi Municipal, while the southern boundary adjoins Adansi South District. Towards the south-east, the district is bounded by Bosome Freho District, and in the north-east, it shares borders with Bekwai Municipal. To the west, it is bordered by the Amansie Central District. These boundaries contribute to the district's cultural diversity and foster regional cooperation and development.

As of the 2021 Population and Housing Census, the Adansi North District's population stood at 54,155, comprising 26,782 males and 27,373 females.
