Geographical Location
Situated in the South-Eastern part of the Ashanti Region, the Adansi South District lies within latitude 40” North and 6 degrees 22” North, and longitude 1degree West and 1 degree 38” West. Its strategic location is significant, as it shares boundaries with various other districts, including Obuasi Municipal and Adansi North Districts to the North and North-East respectively. Furthermore, it shares its North-East and South-East boundaries with Amansie Central and Bosome Freho Districts of the Region. To the South, it is bordered by the Assin District in the Central Region, while its Eastern boundaries connect with Akyemanso and Birim South Districts in the Eastern Region. To the West, the district is bordered by River Offin, and to the East, by River Pra, enhancing its natural charm.
Population and Demographics
As of the 2010 Population and Housing Census, the Adansi South District is home to a total population of 115,378 residents. The district exhibits a balanced gender distribution, with 58,039 males and 57,339 females residing within its boundaries. This population is vibrant and diverse, contributing to the region's cultural richness.

Situated approximately 92 kilometers from Kumasi, the regional capital, New Edubiase is accessible via the Cape Coast – Kumasi trunk road.
