St. Mary's Senior High School: Nurturing young women in Accra since 1950

Stories and facts

St. Mary's Senior High School, located in Korle Gonno in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana, is an all-female second-cycle institution.

Established on 6 February 1950 by the Catholic missionary sisters known as Sister Servants of the Holy Spirit (SSPS), the school began with ten girls and a staff of two Reverend sisters, the late Reverend Sisters Jane and Rosette.

St. Mary's Senior High School has an alliance with Accra Academy, considered its brother school. This partnership aims to promote intellectual development among students from both institutions by encouraging the exchange of ideas at social gatherings and entertainment events.
