Bordered by the Nsawam/Adoagyiri Municipality to the West, the Kpone–Katamanso District to the South-East, the Ga East Municipality to the South, and the Akwapim North Municipality to the North-East, the Akwapim South District thrives within a diverse landscape. Its coordinates span between latitudes 5.5° N and 5.58°N and longitude 0.0° W, fostering an environment that supports various activities and endeavors. Encompassing an area of 224.13km², this district provides both a canvas for development and a canvas for nature's beauty.

The Akwapim South District, has a population of 37,501 inhabitants. The 2021 population and housing census reveals a vibrant community with 37,101 males and 39,821 females, fostering a balanced and diverse society.

With a vision to cascade development across multiple domains, the district administration has orchestrated comprehensive strategies to enhance these sectors.
