Geographical Location and Land Size
The Municipality is situated within Longitudes 1°5' W and 1°39′ W and Latitudes 7°9′ N and 7°36' N. Its extensive land area spans about 1,783.2 square kilometres (690.781 square miles), making up approximately 7.3% of the total land area in the Ashanti Region. Notably, a significant portion of this land lies in the scenic Afram Plains, enhancing the area's ecological diversity.
Bordering Districts
Following the creation of a new Assembly, the Ejura Sekyedumase Municipality now shares borders with adjacent districts, each contributing to its unique character. To the North-West, it shares its border with the Atebubu-Amantin District, while the Mampong Municipality lies to the East. The Sekyere South District forms its southern boundary, and to the West, it is bordered by the Offinso Municipal Assembly. These connections facilitate economic and social exchanges, fostering growth and development in the region.
