The genesis of the Fanteakwa North District Assembly dates back to the establishment of Legislative Instrument (L.I.) 2346 of 2017. Its geographical coordinates span between longitudes 0°32.5’ West and 0°10’ East, and latitudes 6° 15’ North and 6° 40’ North, encompassing a diverse landscape that holds both promise and potential.

Zooming in on demographics, the Fanteakwa North District's vitality is reflected in its population figures from the 2021 population and housing census. As of this census, the district's population stands at a total of 56,987 individuals, with gender distribution showing 28,857 males and 28,130 females.

At the heart of this administrative unit lies its district capital, Begoro, strategically situated as a geographical midpoint within the Eastern Region.
