The North Dayi District hosts a population of 39,913, representing approximately 1.9 percent of the total population of the Volta Region. Gender-wise, the population distribution showcases females making up 53.3 percent, while males account for 46.7 percent. This results in a sex ratio of 88 males per 100 females. Notably, the district's population structure leans towards a youthful demographic, with 36.4 percent falling within the younger age range. In contrast, the elderly (60 years and older) constitute 13.5 percent of the population. The district's total age dependency ratio stands at 87.2, with males having a higher age dependency ratio (93.4) compared to females (82.0).

Fertility, Mortality, and Migration

The district's Total Fertility Rate stands at 3.3 births per woman, while the General Fertility Rate is recorded at 95.0 births per 1,000 women aged 15-49 years.
